Minority Cell

INTRODUCTION

The Minority Cell of the college was constituted following the resolution passed in the Governing Body meeting held on 6th July 2022. The cell aims to empower students from minority communities by providing necessary support and information on various welfare schemes introduced by the Government and other agencies. It also ensures that students from these communities receive equal opportunities in education, scholarships, and other benefits as per the government guidelines.

OBJECTIVES

The Minority Cell of the college functions with the following objectives:

• To implement and monitor the provisions for minority students as per the guidelines of the University, Government, and UGC.
• To ensure the dissemination of information related to various scholarships and welfare schemes meant for students belonging to minority communities (Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, and Parsi).
• To assist minority students during the admission process and ensure that they avail of the benefits of different government schemes and programs.
• To organize awareness programs and workshops on available educational and career opportunities for minority students.
• To collaborate with the Backward Classes Welfare (BCW) Department and other government bodies for the effective implementation of welfare measures for minority students.
